NYC: 2025 Restaurant Openings, a running list
We're two months into 2025, and New York City has seen dozens of exciting new openings, and many more are underway. Here are the ones I'd bookmark.
Already Open:
Golden HOF + NY Kimchi: two separate restaurants in one multi-level space from the team behind Golden Diner (full review of Golden HOF here)
The View: New York City’s only revolving restaurant; located in Times Square; taken over by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group (I’ve yet to go)
Papa San: a new Peruvian restaurant in Hudson Yards from the team behind Llama San and Llama Inn (I’ve yet to go)
Bar Kabawa: new spot specializing in Carribean patties from the Momofuku team in the old Momofuku Ko space (I’ve yet to go)
Cafe Zaffri: an all-day Levantine restaurant from the team behind Raf’s in the new hotel and private members club from London, The Twenty Two (review coming)
Crevette: a seafood-themed restaurant from the husband-and-wife duo behind Lord’s and Dame (full review here)
L’appartement 4f: this popular Brooklyn Heights bakery opened a second location in the West Village; bakery window with no seating (full review here)
Sunday Morning: a dedicated cinnamon roll shop in the East Village (full review here)
Barlume: an all-day restaurant in Flatiron that draws inspiration from the Amalfi Coast, the French Riviera, Costa Brava, and Northern Africa (review coming)
Cafe Commerce: an American restaurant from chef Harold Moore; cozy and comforting feel good bites (full review here)
